About Us

Kate Turvin is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Turvin Solutions, LLC, where she helps businesses, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and community-focused entities strengthen financial accountability, improve operational effectiveness, and reduce fraud risk through practical financial leadership and education.

Kate brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial management, budgeting, revenue cycle operations, and organizational leadership. Throughout her career, she has managed multi-million-dollar budgets, improved financial reporting processes, optimized revenue cycle performance, and provided strategic financial guidance to executive leadership teams. She is widely recognized for her ability to identify operational weaknesses, implement practical solutions, and transform complex financial information into actionable insights that support better decision-making.

 Early in her career, Kate worked for the Arizona Office of the Auditor General, where she participated in governmental audits and gained valuable experience evaluating financial controls, compliance, accountability, and operational effectiveness within public-sector organizations. This experience provided a strong foundation in auditing, risk assessment, and financial stewardship that continues to influence her approach to helping organizations strengthen internal controls and reduce financial risk. 

Prior to founding Turvin Solutions, Kate served in leadership roles with Sun Life Family Health Center, where she became a recognized subject matter expert in Arizona Medicaid billing for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). She also held financial positions with Pinal County and the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens, gaining extensive experience in government, nonprofit, healthcare, and community-based organizations.

Kate holds a Master of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Forensic Accounting, a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is passionate about helping organizations strengthen internal controls, protect assets, and build long-term financial resilience.

Beyond her professional work, Kate is deeply committed to serving her community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor and as Area Council Liaison and Treasurer for the Boys & Girls Clubs Arizona Area Council. Through both her professional and volunteer service, Kate is dedicated to empowering organizations through financial education, ethical leadership, and sound financial stewardship.
